Mayor Bryan Barnett was in attendance for the realtor debut Friday evening and the home opened to the public Saturday afternoon.

Found in Clear Creek, the 7,000-square-foot ShowHouse is priced at $1.5 million and is the fourth edition for the luxury home and condominium builder based in Bloomfield Hills.

Other homes were featured in Macomb Township (2010), Shelby Township (2011) as well as downtown Rochester (in 2012).

“It’s pretty exciting, we do a new house every year and every year they just become better and better,” said Michael Mason, sales coordinator for Arteva Homes.

Some of the unique features that the team hoped would surprise guests this year include a sports arena, which is tucked in the basement, complete with a basketball hoop and hockey flooring—and don’t forget the arena seating.

Also found in the basement is a hidden cigar lounge, accessible through a built-in bookshelf door.

There is a raised study off the staircase near the foyer of the home, too, which “you don’t see too often,” Mason said.

Finally, the design that the builders are known for is their outdoor living space. The 2013 ShowHouse has a two-tiered outdoor room, detailed with heaters and comparable to sitting on an Italian veranda.

Since this is the largest display home they have done, “there was a lot of thought put into this one,” said Vito Terracciano, one of the owners of Arteva Homes.

And so far, the feedback has been good, he says.

“For (former) customers to be blown away by it, that was the highest compliment,” Terracciano said.
