Brooksie Way Traffic Jams Coming this Sunday

Brooksie Way Half Marathon Traffic Information

The 10th annual Brooksie Way Half Marathon will be run this Sunday through the Cities of Rochester and Rochester Hills. The race begins at 8:00 a.m. on September 24. The half marathon starts and ends at Oakland University.

The race is an opportunity for over 4,000 runners to experience the streets and trails of the area. Race Marshalls and Police Officers will make every effort to move traffic across the race route when it is safe to do so. There are expected to be longer delays when the bulk of the runners are in the City of Rochester.

To see if you can maneuver (or not) around the race: Half Marathon Course Map

These are areas that can expect longer delays:

  • Second Street (Letica) between Main and Parkdale will be temporarily blocked while the runners and walkers head on Second Street to Elizabeth beginning at approximately 8:45 a.m.
  • Main & University
  • Ludlow & Woodward (at the Paint Creek Trail)
