Cider mills, haunted houses and corn mazes are fun, but are you looking for something else? Here are a couple different Halloween themed activities for all ages going on this weekend.
Waterford Oaks BMX Halloween Race
Operated by Oakland County Parks and Recreation, the Waterford BMX (bicycle motocross) runs races on Saturday mornings from May until October. All ages, both males and females, use manual power to maneuver over jumps, banked corners and other obstacles with a pedal bike.
Saturday, October 25, will be the last race of the year. It’s a Halloween Race. Registration from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Costume contest with prizes, pumpkin bowling, and a bike tire ring toss add to the fun for this end of season event.
Come to race for $5.00 or watch for free. Half off all food and drinks at the concession stand. Bike rental $6.00, full face helmets $4.00, free parking.

Ghosts and Goodies at Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad
Several days of silly Halloween fun is at the Village, filled with friendly witches, happy ghosts and some of your favorite spooky friends. Find your way through an amusing straw maze and an enchanted forest where trees have eyes. Watch an old-fashioned magic show and take a 40-minute ride on the famous Huckleberry Ghost Train Express. There are trick-or-treat stations throughout the Village with plenty of doughnuts and candy for everyone. Tickets are $13.00 per person. Weekends and select weeknights until Halloween.
