Charity Serving Youth in Durban, South Africa Holds Anticipated Fundraiser
On June 18, Key of Hope, a nonprofit organization located in Durban, South Africa, will host its 12th annual golf outing at the exclusive Wyndgate Country Club and its sister course – Westwynd Golf Course in Rochester, MI. This year is especially exciting as Key of Hope celebrates 10 years of bringing hope to the children of Durban, South Africa who have been orphaned by or have been otherwise affected by HIV and AIDS. This past decade Key of Hope has served over 10,000 kids, provided financial aid for school fees to nearly 1,000, and provided 500 with monthly food parcels.
Of the upcoming event, Executive Director Dan Smither said, “We are anticipating another highly successful tournament with a lot of excitement around playing the legendary Wyndgate course … we thank you in advance for your support of our efforts to reach the lost generation of children left behind by poverty and AIDS.”
Key of hope will offer two different opportunities for play; straight play for the serious golfer at Wyndgate and at Westwynd, a more relaxed round with the opportunities for mulligans, games and the favorite advantage hole. There will be a limited number of foursomes to speed play so interested participants should not wait to claim a spot.
