Lightning damages Rochester Hills home w/VIDEO

According to a story being reported on WXYZ.com, a Rochester Hills family is safe after their house caught fire Monday morning after an apparent lightning strike.

The homeowner, Ed Gruzwalski, told 7 Action News he was awakened by a large boom just before 5 a.m. He checked the exterior of the home, located in a subdivision off Hamlin Road, and that’s when he noticed smoke coming from just below his son’s second-story bedroom window.
