Ribbon Cutting: Retro Fitness of Rochester

The Rochester Regional Chamber of Commerce Held the Ribbon Cutting Welcoming Retro Fitness of Rochester to the Chamber

On September 14, community leaders, family, and friends welcomed Retro Fitness to their remodeled location in Downtown Rochester. Founded by Eric Casaburi in 2002, New Jersey-based Retro Fitness began franchising in 2006. Retro Fitness locations are found nationwide and are known for their state-of-the-art equipment, aerobic classes, cycling, boxing, team training, tanning, saunas, child sitting and a smoothie bar.

Jason Schaefer, General Manager at Retro Fitness of Rochester, explained that “a couple of years ago we started looking at franchises and something to do to impact the community. After a lot of research, we landed on Retro Fitness and couldn’t find a better company to help us reach our goal of helping people and making them healthier and happier. It gives people an affordable way to do that.”

With a variety of packages, guests can enjoy different levels of membership. In addition to using the workout equipment, guests can join classes which include strength training, TRX, yoga, Barre Fusion, interval training, spinning, body sculpting and Zumba. Working with a personal trainer is another option. Members can enjoy healthy snacks and customize a beverage at the smoothie bar by choosing their flavor, adding a protein, picking add-ins, and selecting supplements.

“The remodel took three months and the members were absolutely amazing with the construction and I’m really thankful to have a great member base that has really understood the vision that we had” said Schaefer. “I’d really like to thank our staff who handled the member’s needs professionally and with grace. They make us run. We have a lot of new programs we’re excited to roll out.” A Grand Opening Party will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with special events, food, kid’s activities, a raffle and more to celebrate the newly remodeled facility.
