Adams Road Closed this Weekend at I-75 for Bridge Demolition

Crews will be closing Adams Road in each direction at southbound I-75 this weekend for bridge removal starting at 10:00 p.m. Friday, May 19. The roadway is expected to reopen 5:00 a.m. Monday, May 22. The bridge work is part of the ongoing $91.8 million investment to reconstruct I-75 between South Boulevard and Coolidge Highway in Oakland County. The I-75 Modernization Project Started this Week - 18 Miles - $91 Million - to be Complete by 2030 The I-75 widening and reconstruction project has been in the planning and development stages for nearly 20 years. Main Street is Now Open!

Main Street in Downtown Rochester reopened to traffic today at 12:30 pm. One travel lane northbound and one travel lane southbound are open, along with left turn lanes at Second and University Drive. University Drive is also open to traffic. Livernois Road to close July 9

It's official. The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), the Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC), the City of Rochester Hills and the City of Rochester announced that Livernois Road will close July 9 at the bridge over the Clinton River between Avon and Hamlin roads, when RCOC begins the replacement of the  bridge. Digging Up Bones in Downtown Rochester!

Word on the street today was that the construction crews tearing up Main Street in Downtown Rochester found some bones. While digging in front of Gus O'Connors Pub they uncovered an old well and near it some animal bones. We were told that MDOT called in some Archaeologists to investigate and examine the find. Reports came back that these bones were not prehistoric, but probably a small animal like a dog or a sheep. Main Street Makeover moves into Phase 2

Rochester’s Main Street Makeover is well underway and moving into the next phase. Beginning Tuesday, May 15, Main Street will be closed north of Second and south of University. Second and University will remain open, while Third & Fourth will be closed to traffic. Pedestrian crossing will only be available at Second and University.
