Next Tuesday, Michael Dwyer of Rochester Media, will join The Midweek Meanders walking group to lead a hike in Oakland Township and the Village of Goodison to visit two of the area's cider mills. Master Plan Focus Group Open House for Oakland Township

Oakland Township is beginning work on updating the Township Master Plan. The township will soon be hosting a Public Focus Group Open House to gather community input from residents/stakeholders on the direction of Oakland Township. Motor City Brew Tours raises over $3,000 for Friends of the Paint Creek Trail

On April 26, the Motor City Brew Tours held their “Cruisin’ for the Trails” event on the Paint Creek Trail and raised $3,150 for trail improvements. Cider Mills Open with Bumper Apple Crop

Bumper Crop 2013 The Michigan apple crop is back. After last year’s disappointing drop of 90%, causing apple and cider prices to rise, the apple crop is way above average for this fall season. Only 2.7 million bushels were harvested in Michigan in 2012.
