The Paint Creek Trailways Commission, an intergovernmental agency that owns and operates the 8.9 mile recreational Paint Creek Trail, is proud to announce the hiring of Melissa Ford as the Paint Creek Trail’s new manager. Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is presenting an Accessibility Workshop to receive comments and input from the general public and disability advocates on two Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grant applications. Adopt-A-Trail Program Open for Paint Creek Trail

Kickoff on April 22 Three students from Girl Scout Troop #43155 at Van Hoosen Middle School have developed an “Adopt-A-Trail” program for the Paint Creek Trail to earn their Silver Award. As part of the project, four sections of the Paint Creek Trail from Rochester to Lake Orion will be adopted by individuals, groups, or businesses. Each group will be responsible for a trail cleanup project twice a year, in April and October, and it is a two year commitment. In return, signs will be posted … [Read more...]
