Proceeds to Benefit the Neighborhood House Capital Campaign Rochester will be celebrating the 200th anniversary of its founding in 1817. City of Rochester Wins Michigan Citizen Corps CERT Team of the Year

The City of Rochester Citizens Emergency Response Team (CERT), sponsored by the Rochester Fire Department, was awarded the Michigan Citizen Corps ‘Team of the Year” at the State Citizen’s Corp Conference held in Traverse City in December.  The CERT team is one of 313 CERT teams in the State of Michigan that were considered for the 2014 State award. Rochester Area Youth Assistance, (RAYA), along with the Rochester Fire Department, is hosting it third annual “Fire It Up for Youth” Spaghetti dinner fundraiser.  The event is being held on Friday, January 28 from 5pm – 8pm  and Saturday January 29 from 4pm – 8pm at the Rochester Fire Department, 277 E. Fire at Rochester Hills McDonald’s

On Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 4:14 P.M. Rochester Hills Fire Department, assisted by Rochester Fire Department, responded to a fire at McDonald’s on Rochester Road.  The first arriving units reported heavy smoke coming from the building, and crews entered to find fire in the cooking area.  Firefighters were able to contain the fire to the area of origin.    The Fire Department remained on-scene into the evening hours investigating.  The cause of this fire remains under investigation however … [Read more...]
