In our world where we are over saturated with advertising about all the new stuff we need to buy it can be hard to keep an honest perspective between wants and needs. Society makes you feel that if you don’t have all the newest gear, gadgets, or toys you are old fashioned or ill-equipped for life. Martin Luther King Jr. Day events

Rochester-area residents will have two ways to celebrate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Rochester Area Ministerial Association and Rochester Community Schools will sponsor a celebration in honor of King's teachings on Sunday, January 8. The service will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Rd. in Rochester. The program is free and open to the public.
