Monte Carlo brings to mind European luxury and glamour, which will be the setting for the OPC’s 16th Annual Charity Gala on Saturday, April 28 at the Royal Park Hotel. “A Night in Monte Carlo 2” will be an evening of sophistication with extra elements of fun. A pre-glow will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by an elegant dinner, with Mark Randisi performing songs by Frank Sinatra.

The evening does not stop there; enjoy a full casino night with game tables, silent auction, plus a DJ & dancing, cash bar and complimentary valet. Each guest will receive $500 in poker chips for casino games, and the chance to turn your winnings into raffle tickets for prizes. The silent auction will include of one-of-a-kind pieces by Aurum Design Jewelry as well as a limousine-guided tour of the wine country.

The OPC is excited to have Dave LewAllen of WXYZ as their guest emcee again this year. “A Night in Monte Carlo 2” will be the event of the year, so bring dancing shoes and “lady luck” to enjoy a night that’s sure to entertain, while supporting Meals on Wheels, an important program for homebound seniors.

This premier event benefits the Meals on Wheels program at OPC which provides a nutritious meal to homebound seniors in NE Oakland County who are unable to shop and cook for themselves. Last year OPC prepared, delivered and served a total of 121,668 nutritionally balanced meals to seniors’ homes by over 500 volunteers, as well as those dining in at OPC and other area senior centers. The service delivery area continues to experience a rise in the senior population and this event is crucial to fundraising efforts to continue to meet the needs of homebound seniors.

The Older Persons’ Commission (OPC) provides something for everyone 50+ with a wide array of personal enrichment, fitness, aquatic, social and travel offerings. They also offer supportive senior services such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Service, Transportation and more. Residents 50+ of the City of Rochester Hills, City of Rochester and Charter Township of Oakland are automatically members of the 90,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility.
