New, Free Interactive Addition at the Paint Creek Center for the Arts

Marbles Away! A new “clinking” sound can be heard in the gallery at Paint Creek Center for the Arts thanks to a new, free interactive addition to the Palette & Brush Exhibition. Exhibition visitors carry a cup of colored marbles through the exhibition. Whenever an exhibit piece moves them, they select a marble that corresponds to their emotion and place it into a clear tube located next to each piece of art. Casual Day Donations Reach $45,000

Oakland County employees donated over $45,000 to support local charities this year through the county’s Casual Day program, County Executive L. Brooks Patterson said during a special ceremony today in the lobby of the Executive Office Building. On Casual Day, employees in participating departments and divisions may donate $1 to wear jeans or dress casually.
