Join Operation Yellow Ribbon (OYR), a 501 (c )(3) nonprofit on Saturday, September 13, 2014 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. for the third annual All-American Picnic to honor our military and their families. OYR is also partnering with the local DAV and auxiliary; American Legion and auxiliary; VFW, and several local businesses, according to their director Peggy Ann Kralik.

Each attendee/family with receive a “gold” gift bag with valuable coupons and other items. Several great door prizes have been donated. The children will be treated to balloon creations, and face-painting. Games and prizes are also being offered, and music is being provided via DJ.

“It is heart-warming and amazing to see how many local businesses and individuals are so willing to honor our military personnel”, says Mrs. Kralik, “they are buying tickets for themselves and for our troops.”

Follow OYR on facebook.com/OperationYellowRibbonofMichigan for additional details on how you can donate or sponsor, or call Peggy Ann Kralik directly at 248.425.2722. Tickets are still available and need to be reserved as soon as possible because the event is fast approaching. They are free to active-duty and veteran family members. Attendees must RSVP to ensure there will be enough food for all.

Our brave men and women have sacrificed so much for our country. Help OYR honor them by giving them a day they and their families can enjoy.

About Operation Yellow Ribbon

Operation Yellow Ribbon strives to support and encourage those who have sacrificed for our freedom and safety by providing financial, transitional and emotional resources, as needed.”  It is our intent to keep our support local – in our own backyard. There are no administrative fees – we are an all-volunteer organization. We recently provided emergency financial support to veterans in need because of the proceeds from last year’s picnic.
