“This is a dream come true for me to be able to lead and serve in such an amazing community. I am honored to have the opportunity to continue my journey as an instructional leader and administrator within Rochester Community Schools and am eager to build upon the tradition of academic excellence that Rochester Adams High School has displayed for years,” said Cusumano.

Cusumano most recently served as an assistant principal at Rochester High School. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Rochester Community Schools Foundation. Previous positions included serving the Utica Community School District as the assistant principal at Jeannette Junior High School and as a high school Spanish teacher at Henry Ford II High School. Cusumano also served as the ESL (English as a second language) coordinator for secondary education, data director key resource leader, school improvement leader, and boys basketball coach.

“We welcome Pasquale as the new principal at Adams High School. He is an energetic and motivated leader who is dedicated to ensuring all students achieve at their highest level. I am confident he will continue to do great things for our students,” said Executive Director of Secondary Education Carrie Lawler.

    Welcome!

  2. Andrew Wilcox says

What’s with all the abrupt principal shake up in our district? Long meadow, Brewster, and now Adams? That I’ve read about?

I love seeing teachers continuing to fulfill their dreams in the field they love. Mr. Cusumano was my spanish teacher at Henry Ford II 11 years ago. He was a dedicated and involved teacher then. I only expect him to be just as dedicated as a principal. I learned so much in his class. Thank you Mr. Cusumano. Good Luck!

  4. The fact that the Rochester Community School’s superintendent made this decision to take Mr.Cummings out of the Principle’s office is absolutely absurd. He wants to “make the 3 high schools equal” because nobody likes seeing Adams succeeding so he forced Cummings into retirement. Mr.Cummings turned the Adams community around to a positive place and deserves that spot more than anyone. I’m sure this principle will do a great job but remember who got Adams a gold medal in academics…Mr Cummings did. So glad I’m out of the RCS school system. It’s a ridiculously corrupt place and my kids will not be apart of that.

Are you serious? Mr. Cummings was so oblivious to the cultural and racial “mishaps” that took place within Adams from 2000-2003 it’s embarassing. I’m glad he’s gone for the sake of the children and parents within the RCS district.

    Congratulations Pat….Adams has a great future…
