Rochester Jaycees Host Annual Christmas Shopping Tour

Seeks Donations for Children This Holiday Season

On December 10 at 7:30 a.m. the Rochester Jaycees will host their Annual Christmas Shopping Tour.

In partnership with the Rochester Area Neighborhood House, this event brings holiday joy to approximately 30 underprivileged children in the Greater Rochester Area. Children are paired with an adult volunteer to buy holiday presents for their families at Meijer in Rochester Hills.

After shopping, the children are transported to the Older Persons’ Commission for a pre-holiday party. Children wrap their presents, play fun games, assemble crafts, and get a surprise visit from Santa along with a gift.

“This program provides children with a holiday experience that they may not be able to have otherwise,” states Co-Chair Maria Willett. “Thanks to the generosity of our business community we have been able to bring happiness to some of our neediest children year after year.”

This wonderful tradition is supported in part by AT&T, who presented an $1,000 check to the Rochester Area Jaycees.

This year, supporters have the opportunity to sponsor a child for $75. To make a donation for this event, please send your donation to:
