Ryan Smith Announces his Candidacy for Rochester Hills City Council At-Large

Ryan Smith announces his candidacy for Rochester Hills City Council At-Large. In 2015, Ryan first became part of the community, knowing that the library, parks, programs, and public services created a better place to establish roots in such a community. Rochester Hills remains all that he believed it to be when he first moved here, but believes it could be much more. He is confident that in electing him as a representative on City Council, it would reinforce the strengths the city already has, and lead to making the changes needed to keep Rochester Hills a community where everyone belongs, thrives, and puts down lasting roots.

“I come from a proud blue-collar family that has been ‘hands on’ when it comes down to their work ethic. And I want to work for you. We need to create more living wage jobs, improve our affordable housing, and keep the public safe – especially with the ever-growing opiate epidemic, a top priority.” Said Smith, “With over a decade of criminal justice experience, I know what it takes to find solutions, navigate the complicated governmental agencies, and get things done.”

Ryan Smith will be at CK Diggs (2010 Auburn Road in Rochester Hills) on May 4 for a celebration to kick off his campaign. “Your support means everything to me. Building partnerships for a better Rochester Hills,” said Smith. $35 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under, make checks payable to “Ryan Smith for Rochester Hills.”
