Kickoff on April 22 Three students from Girl Scout Troop #43155 at Van Hoosen Middle School have developed an “Adopt-A-Trail” program for the Paint Creek Trail to earn their Silver Award. Will Bridge 33.7 over the Paint Creek be Renovated?

Paint Creek Trailways Commission Recommended for Grant to Renovate Bridge 33.7 On December 7, 2016, the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) recommended funding the Paint Creek Trail Bridge 33.7 Renovation project for $300,000. The grant will match an additional $300,000 Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) federal grant that was approved last summer. Here in Michigan the four seasons can seem to happen all in one week. To enjoy the true four seasons all year long try exploring the Paint Creek Trail. The 8.9 mile linear park runs from downtown Rochester – through Rochester Hills, Oakland Twp., and Orion Twp. – to the Village of Lake Orion.
