Why Pay a Cover Charge? I hate paying cover charges. I never understood why people would wait in a line, in all kinds of weather, to pay $5, $10, or even $20 for the privilege to walk through the door. A Visit to the Guinness Brewery I was in Dublin with friends several years ago and we all thought we should visit the Guinness Brewery. It was a nice Saturday afternoon as we made our way, by using public transportation and walking, to get to our destination.
